If you want to get yourself a handheld flamethrower, you are going to need to do the new mission, "Unregistered Weapons Procurement" which is available at level 27. You will need 2 tasers and 3 garrottes before you can do this mission so run to Jersey and do the "Smuggle Stolen Goods" mission if you don't already have yours. You receive a random number of one of five weapons, gold plated magnum, sawed-off shotgun, tommy gun, handheld flamethrower or laser-targeted rifle.

Here are the stats for the new specialty weapons that are earned from the procurement mission. If you know of any others, feel free to comment below. For stats on the other weapons, check out the Mobsters equipment list.

A new option is now available where you can promote mobsters in your mob to become part of your "Top Mob." You can only have eight mobsters in your Top Mob at any one time but you can add and delete them as you please. These mobsters are able to attack double, so don't forget to double up their weapons.

This new feature gives you the ability to send 10 energy points to each mobster in your Top Mob, once per day. (You can send 10 energy to your entire mob. Just send energy to everyone in your Top Mob, delete them, then add new Top Mob Members and send them energy. ) The energy is free and does not deplete your energy supply, so go ahead and give it out!

Your Top Mob also offers a daily cash and experience bonus. The cash bonus is determined by your hourly income and the income of those mobsters in your Top Mob. Your daily Top Mob bonus will not exceed four times your hourly income. This means that each mobster in your Top Mob will give a maximum daily bonus of half of your hourly income. If MyMobster's income were $400,000 hourly, then the maximum daily bonus from each of the eight Top Mobsters would equal $200,000. However, if the mobster in your Top Mob doesn't make enough to cover your bonus, then you will not max out your daily bonus. You can only receive 20% of the hourly income of each member in your Top Mob. To max out MyMobster's daily bonus from above, each Top Mob member would need to have an hourly income of $1,000,000.

The mobsters Top Mob daily bonus can only be awarded once per day. Make sure you have filled up all eight Top Mob slots before you claim your bonus if you want to max it out.

An additional five missions were added to Myspace Mobsters that yield two new items, the KGB-Style Body Armor and the Surveillance Helicopter. Before earning these new items, you will need to save plenty of energy and collect additional items through completing various missions.

Five new mobster missions are available from the most recent updates. It looks as though the Godfather has created an option for those who do not want to flood their Myspace account with a bunch of meaningless friends. Each of the new missions requires only a few friends. However, you sill have to whore out your Myspace account if you are going to be a successful mobster.

Many mobsters on Myspace are mad at the Godfather and his changes to the application that have taken place. The Godfather's attempt to eliminate mobsters who are using bots has upset some people so much that they may be willing to sell their mobster. Check out Kustom Vegas - 391247924 on the made man list. It looks as though he is quitting the game and may be taking offers for his mobster.

If you hate the Godfather and want to do something about it, check out Mobsters Unite and become part of FTG (F*** the Godfather). FTG is a group of mobsters who are pissed off at the Godfather and are uniting to take revenge. Check it out to see what they're about.

The Limited Edition items on Myspace Mobsters carry a steep price. With each item costing around 20 favor points, getting more than a couple will require you to go to the Godfather and complete offers for additional favor points. The Godfather's St. Patrick's Day Gala is a great way to get Limited Edition items for cheap, if you are lucky that is.

The St. Patrick's Day Gala works just the same as the other Galas that have taken place in the past. The mission takes 2 favor points and you have the chance to win a piece of equipment. Sometimes the reward is hardly worth it and you can get stuck with nothing but a few dollars and experience points. Other times, the reward can be nice and you receive a Lambo or the brand new Winchester 94. The Winchester 94 is a new special item that was added and only available in the St. Patrick's Day Gala.

If you haven't been paying attention to the recent updates, then it's likely that you haven't notice that the types of mobsters have all changed. Instead of the old types of mobsters, Bulletproof, Insomniac, and Tycoon, we now have Nightowl, Soldato and Mogul respectively. Why the new change? Personally, I think the Godfather is bored on Friday nights but I will let you make up your own mind.

There is also a new type of mobster to chose from. A "hybrid mobster" if you will. This hybrid mobster, "Renegade", is a jack of all trades and generates a small bonus for each category - health, energy and stamina.

The Myspace Mobsters application received another upgrade complete with new missions, territory, equipment, and a slightly new look.

There are six new missions on Mobsters which are all unlocked by level 17 and rather useless for high level mobsters. To start the game, you now have an additional mission which allows you to win a Newsstand - the new territory available on Mobsters. This is great if you start a new Mobster because you can immediately begin receiving hourly income. You can also participate in a little "Back-Alley Mugging" if you get a new Flick Knife, or "Petty Theft" if that's more your style. The "Residential Burglary" mission gives loot of various types, including the new golf club. Once you reach level five, you can do the "Loot a Weapons Cache" mission and receive random pieces of equipment. At level 12 the fun begins. You need a Lucky Rabbit's Foot to do the "Smuggle Stolen Goods" mission which will give you one of the three new pieces of equipment or a random piece of weaponry. You also will need a City Map so do the mission named "Plan Smuggling Operation" and you should get one, try a second time if needed. Once you have these items, you can smuggle the stolen goods and save your money for territory. At level 17, you can "Sell Counterfeit Sports Memorabilia." This mission requires three fresh recruits which eats away from your badges and ambulances.

The new territory is the Newsstand which is fairly useless for those with even a moderate hourly income. It comes in dead last in terms of hourly income compared to other properties, raking in a whopping 100 bucks.

The mobsters new equipment can be earned through the various new missions. The mission "Smuggle Stolen Goods" gives out the three new pieces of equipment fairly often. The Golf Club is easy to find Downtown when you "Loot a Weapons Cache", yet it can also be found in Da Bronx in "Residential Burglary." The other new equipment in Mobsters is the Metal Chain, Garrotte, and the Taser. These items are not purchasable and must be won in the missions.

If you have any luck playing slots, try your luck at the Godfather's Casino. Just like any casino, you have the chance to win or lose. The Godfather's casino rewards mobsters with 0 to 600 favor points depending on how much you bet and chance. You can also unlock mobster achievements by playing the slots.

You choose whether you want to bet 1, 2 or 3 favor points - 3 being the max bet. The amount of favor points that you receive depends on what the slots land on. If you max your bet and get the jackpot, you will win 600 favor points and a very Limited Edition vehicle shown below that looks like a missile launcher.

If you've been playing the Christmas Gala then you've seen the rare Lamborghini Murcielago that has been added. If you plan on getting one of these, you better get plenty favor points or be one lucky Mobster. If you want to arm your Mobster with every weapon in the game to be a real Made Man, then you better get going and get your Lambo. Chances are, it will be gone soon!

Many of the newest items for Mobsters have a huge hourly upkeep. The Hughes 500 Helicopter leads the way (other than the Cold War-Era Gunboat) when it comes to hourly upkeep (it also ties with the Small Police Escort). 20 of these helicopters are needed to Raid the Lockheed Research Lab to earn one Exoskeleton.

The helicopter's daily upkeep is nearly three times its cost. If you take a defensive posture or you are only on once a day, consider selling your helicopters and repurchasing them when you return back online. It takes just over eight hours (8 hours x $600,000 upkeep = $4,800,000) to earn the purchase price of a helicopter. So whenever you know you will be away for over eight hours, sell the helicopter and save the money!

When you make it to level 400, you will have access to the "Revolution in Central America" mission which awards a Cold War-Era Gunboat. The gunboat is really expensive and arguably even worth owning.

Get to level 150 and do the new mission, "Elect Capo to Mayor's Office". Once complete, you will get a Small Police Escort which is considered a weapon (not armor or vehicle). It's rather Pricey to upkeep so be careful. Like the helicopter, you can quickly tap your budget.

When you get to level 200, you will see a new mission, "Raiding the Lockheed Research Lab. This mission awards you with the Exoskeleton which is the best for defense and a relatively low upkeep compared to the rest. If you are boosting your defense, start collecting the Exoskeleton!

The Police Badge allows you to punch your enemies while they are hiding in the hospital. The mission "Infiltrate Police Department" becomes available after you've reached level 25 and you have recruited four new mobsters. You’ll need two energy to get the job done. Once completed, you will earn five experience points and a police badge which allows your mobster access to the hospital.

The next time you punch a mobster who is in the hospital, you will be able to use your new badge and sneak past the hospital staff to punch them. If fully successful, you will keep your police badge and see this message:

Otherwise, after you punch your enemy mobster, you will lose your police badge and see this message:

The Godfather has recently begun involvement in health care. A new mission has been added to the mobsters mission list which provides your mobster access to an Ambulance that is randomly used to increase your mobster's health 100% when you heal in the hospital.

To do the mission, you must recruit 2 new mobsters. Look through your friends and add anyone who is not in your mob or go to one of the mobster adding websites to get 2 new mobsters. When you do the mission to get the Ambulance, these two mobsters are consumed (However, they stay in your mob. They just cannot be used to do the Ambulance mission again.) You will have to recruit 2 more mobsters each time you want to Infiltrate the Hospital to be rewarded an Ambulance. Once you use the ambulance, it remains in your equipment. The Ambulance is used at random when you heal in the hospital. When the Ambulance is used, you will see your health increase 100% and a message will appear which states.....

"Your private ambulance showed up just in time to deliver you to the hospital, where you were waved past the waiting masses straight into your own room. With VIP treatment, you were healed ___ points to full health."

Rumors are beginning to spread regarding hidden vehicles in the Myspace Mobsters application. There has not been any word yet on how to acquire these vehicles and currently, no word on any mobster owning them. The vehicles may end up as rewards for missions or as special rewards for GodFather favor points. Keep your eyes peeled for one of the five hidden vehicles which include:
